Wow! The entire time that I was reading this book,
it was on my mind almost constantly. It
even visited me in my dreams. I truly
flew through the pages in an effort to get to the end. This is the story of Louisa Clark and Wil Traynor. They come from opposite sides of the tracks.
Lou is just an ordinary girl that has no real goals in life. She has worked in a small café for the past 7
years and now finds herself unemployed due to the café closing down. She really needs a job because her parents
are having financial problems, and since she still lives with them, she feels
that it is necessary for her to help them.
Wil Traynor is a handsome, wealthy businessman that had a life changing
accident two years ago that left him a quadriplegic. His mother runs an ad for a caregiver and
ends up hiring Lou.
Wil was very much into living the good life prior to
the accident. Now he wants to kill himself instead of spending the rest of his
life in his wheelchair. He made a deal
with his wealthy parents that he would wait 6 months before acting on the
suicide. His mother hired Lou in hopes
of changing Wil’s mind. At first Lou is
unaware of this situation, but she quickly figures it out. AT first, Lou did
not want anything to do with the situation.
But, she soon gets caught up in it and finds herself constantly making
plans in an effort to change Wil’s mind.
Along the way, Lou falls in love with Wil. The entire story keeps you glued to the pages
because you want to know if she manages to change his mind or not.
